Rebhan and HK Cosmetic Packaging – packaging specialists from the Certina Packaging Group – have developed a new refill system for the cosmetics industry. It is a system that saves on packaging material by means of interchangeable inner components along with a high-quality outer packaging that benefits from a decorative shine and finish to its appearance.

As simple as it is ingenious, these new refill systems intelligently bond together beauty with sustainability. The high-quality glass appearance of the outer packaging is combined with a replaceable inner component.  The outer casing is characterized by its metallic, printed or embossed customised colors for a decorative design accessory that will always remain in use, used in combination with a replaceable inner section. 

One special feature of such an environmentally friendly solution is that the inner is firmly screwed to the outer part by means of a ring to ensure no wobbling, rattling or any kind of loose fitting which would take away from the high-quality overall impression. Grip recesses or screws ensure an effortless removal of the inner section, so that the consumer can buy the product with significantly less packaging material, as well as being able to put it back together to form a complete package. With low material consumption, the result is a new refill system that brings sophisticated cosmetic products to the fore.

The 30 ml and 50 ml Colonna bottle refills are suitable for lotions, sprays for facial, body and hair care, as well as for sun care products. The high-quality plastic that makes up the elegant glasslike look is particularly light; yet, it is scratch and break-resistant, thus also making it suitable for shipping and travelling. The five-part system consists of a decorative outer section, transparent plug cap, connecting ring, lotion dispenser (or a spray pump) for sprays, and a replaceable inner bottle. The inner bottle is offered as a refill cartridge and it can also be produced from environmentally friendly material. 

The refill jars "Kyra Standard Refill" with solid and thick-walled outer section and the material-reduced version "Kyra light Refill" each have a capacity of 50 ml.

The refill jars are available with one or two-part closures that can be customized. In addition to metalized and embossed plastic caps, there is also a lid made of aluminum.

The injection-blown refill component has been specially developed for round shaped packaging and all the jars can be produced using organic or recycled material.
